Uncovering the Traitor Within

Are you currently in an abusive relationship?
Are you feeling paralyzed?
Do you find yourself repeatedly making excuses for his, her or their behavior?
Are you keeping secrets to avoid being judged, embarrassed, or protecting the abuser?
If you do leave, do you find yourself back in another abusive relationship?
Maybe even after years of healthy relationships?

I did. I am a trained psychotherapist. I did not gain the insight, nor the tools to help myself stop my pattern until I was in my 50s.

What made the difference for me?

Uncovering my TRAITOR WITHIN.

What is the TRAITOR WITHIN?

That part of ourselves, an inner force, that drives us toward self-destructive behavior. Each of our traitors are unique and are formed by our own personal influences. Experiences such as child and adult trauma and covert and overt messaging can be formative.

It is of utmost importance to emphasize this fact: Abusive behavior is ALWAYS the fault of the abuser. The recipient of such behavior is ALWAYS the victim.

My unique contribution is the personification of the TRAITOR WITHIN. Using this tool, I hope to help others gain useful insight into their own destructive thinking and behavior. My intention is to help you discover your own Traitor Within. Once identified and using my blogs, my book; Traitor Within and networking resources available through my website, I hope to assist you in meaningful positive change in your life.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Jessica Anne Pressler.  I am a mother, wife, friend, psychotherapist, grief counselor, SURVIVOR of abusive relationships, and now an author and blogger. Despite many years of training as a clinical social worker and many years helping others gain insight and cope, I was unable to help myself, until recently. My intention is to help others by sharing my personal journey, my insight and what I have learned from others.

I hope to launch my book Traitor Within by summer and begin regular blogs every Tuesday, beginning next week, March 8th, 2022.
